Hi everyone,
It's with sincerest regrets that PGDay Austin 2017 has been cancelled due to weather conditions related to Hurricane Harvey which has increased in severity and speed. Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for Bastrop, Fayette and Caldwell counties, and it is expected Travis, Hays, and Williamson counties will be added.
Travel for several of our attendees and speakers are being impacted severely. While our venue is located well above the flood plain we don't want to risk the safety of our local attendees traveling through flood prone areas to reach the venue.
We will send out a survey to our speakers and attendees to determine a reschedule date that works for everyone. If you require a refund to be issued immediately, please email Debbie at secretary@postgresql.us.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Stay dry and safe!
Sincerely,
Debbie Cerda and Jim Nasby
Austin PUG
PGDay Austin 2017 will be held on August 26th in Austin, TX at fibercove, a coworking, meeting, and event space in the South Lamar district of Austin, TX. This event is hosted by the Austin PostgreSQL User Group (PUG), and underwritten by the U.S. PostgreSQL Association. The Austin PUG serves as the Austin chapter of PostgreSQL user groups, a community supported gathering of Postgres users new and experienced alike.
Some of our key members are highly active individuals in the postgres community that participate heavily in the advancement of the database service. All are welcome, and we always love new faces. We cater to both the expert and the newbie, and the topics we cover are covered from that standpoint as well. This is a great place to learn how to use postgres and to gain some hands-on training with some very knowledgable individuals, share in a wealth of experience, and so on.
Our meetup page for updates is available here.
